On Melbourne Cycle Chic’s recent travels in South Africa, bicycles were sadly all but absent from the streets of the country’s two main cities, Cape Town and Johannesburg. There was some bike action to be found in the “informal township” Khayelitsha, just outside of Cape Town, and one Sunday afternoon a gang of skaters took to the main street of CT.
